Airport Equipment Contracts Take Flight

Sourcewell announces contracts awarded in Airport Runway and Emergency Equipment category

Created at the request of members, these contracts offer a variety of services and equipment to help airport facilities do the important work their customers depend upon. Each of these vendors provide best-in-class products for all seasons and conditions, including emergency situations.

Airport managers can now pick from an enhanced selection of contract purchasing options after Sourcewell announced a new category offering solutions and services for runways and related emergency equipment.

Six vendors earned contracts in the ‘Airport Runway and Emergency Equipment Related Accessories’ category, adding to Sourcewell's diverse line of options and solutions.

Sourcewell Contract Administrator Clinton Strother says each of these contracts offer unique value to airports.

“This is a brand-new category to Sourcewell,” Strother explains. “Created at the request of members, these contracts offer a variety of services and equipment to help airport facilities do the important work their customers depend upon. Each of these vendors provide best-in-class products for all seasons and conditions, including emergency situations.”

Sourcewell (formerly NJPA), a cooperative purchasing organization, awarded these contracts following a competitive solicitation process:

Batts Inc. - Airport runway deicer, liquid deicer, runway deicer, deicing truck, deicing tanker, deicing trailer, skid mounted deicer, salt brine sprayer, Erosweep equipment, debris removal equipment, SIB broom bristle cassettes, FOD*BOSS (foreign object debris sweeper)

Multihog - Airport snow removal, sweeper, mower (various types), cold planer, snow plow, snow blower, de-icer, sander/spreader, Glycol recovery system, runway surface cleaner, weed control systems, garbage vacuum

Oshkosh Airport - Aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicles, Snozzle - high reach extendable turret, Eco-EFP (foam test solution), custom snow removal chassis, front mounted brooms, dedicated blowers, multi-tasking equipment, plows

Rosenbauer - Custom fire chassis, aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF), Airwolf C2, Airwolf C3, Panther 4x4, Panther 6x6, Panther 6x6 with HRET

Team Eagle - All season airport runway snow chassis, airport plows, airport braking availability tester, ice control - icebreaker, chemical sprayer/spreader, airport runway edge light cleaner, portable bird and wildlife deterrent, vehicle rollover warning system, monitoring and data acquisition system, asset tracking and management system, airport runway containment detection cameras, driver's enhanced vision and navigation system, Airport Part 139/TP312 inspection software and Airfield GIS data collection, management and extraction

Wausau Equipment Company - Chassis, front-mounted brooms, towed brooms, loader-mounted snowblowers, chassis-mounted snowblowers, deicing equipment, cold air blowers, SnoDozer, TurboBlast, ramp plows, plows, runway broom

Effective May 3, 2019, these contracts are available to all Sourcewell members throughout the United States and Canada. Purchasers from public entities save time and money by streamlining the procurement process with cooperative purchasing.
