Award Places NJPA Among Best in Public Procurement

Dr. Chad Coauette, NJPA CEO/Executive DirectorNational Joint Powers Alliance has been awarded the prestigious 21st annual Achievement of Excellence in Procurement® from the National Procurement Institute, Inc. (NPI). The annual award is earned by public and nonprofit organizations obtaining a high score on standardized criteria. The AEP recognizes innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity and leadership. The program encourages the development of excellence as well as continued organizational improvement.

“We have a tremendous amount of respect for NPI and the standards for excellence they have set forth for public procurement. We are humbled to be the only Minnesota recipient, and one of only 21 Special Districts in the United States and Canada to achieve this prestigious 2016 award. We have nearly 31,000 members actively achieving efficiencies by purchasing through an NJPA competitively awarded contract, and we will continue to strive to meet and exceed their expectations,” stated Dr. Chad Coauette, NJPA Executive Director.

NJPA will accept the award at NPI's 48th Annual Conference and Products Exposition, October 9-12, 2016 in Colorado Springs, CO at their Award Ceremony. “This award affirms our commitment to exceeding industry standards and continuing to achieve benchmarks we have set for ourselves as we serve government, education and nonprofit entities,” said Jeremy Schwartz, NJPA Director of Cooperative Contracts and Procurement.
