Meeting Minnesota’s New Police Training Mandates (MCPA)

Local and national law enforcement agencies have been under intense scrutiny the past several years to adapt to changing community expectations and calls for a more broadly trained police force. In response, the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association (MCPA) partnered with other statewide law enforcement organizations to develop a historic legislative proposal that helps agencies, large and small, urban and rural, meet these new 21st-century policing challenges. SEED is a peer-led professional development program that promotes change through self-reflection and interpersonal dialogue and builds capacity for more equitable curriculum, schools, and communities.
