Board Boot Camp for Nonprofit Board of Directors

These evening workshops are designed for current board members or those who are considering joining a board to help increase knowledge about board responsibilities and identifying nuances of board authority and relationships.

Participants will also discuss specific board scenarios that reflect current challenges and successes.

This training is underwritten by Sourcewell and the Initiative Foundation for individuals from any nonprofit in Benton, Cass, Chisago, Crow Wing, Isanti, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Kanabec, Pine, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd, Wadena and Wright counties. Registeration is now closed.

Officer Leadership Development

For Region 5 Law Enforcement - Designed for situational, squad, and other leaders seeking to move up the chain of command, this training discusses the leadership challenges of 21st-century policing.

Topics include: psychology of supervision, communications, support of department mission, promotion interviews, post-promotion actions, and the value of mentorship.

Young Authors ConferenceFor students in grades 4-6 who have an interest in writing and are ready to explore on a deeper level, this conference provides students the opportunity to learn from professional writers. Registeration is now closed.

Building the 21st Century Workforce ConferenceFor all organizations - This unique regional conference aims to address the gap between workforce skills needed and the skills available in our five-county region. Speakers include Brett Pawlowski from the National Center for College and Career Transitions (NC3T), local business leaders, and school personnel. Registeration is now closed.
