Leadercast Women

Experience a world-class leadership event right here at home. Sourcewell is excited to host Leadercast Women. This transformational leadership event brings nine female leadership experts with unique insights to one stage.

Men and women are invited to attend Leadercast Women - a live-streamed event taking place Friday, October 12, 2018. While happening live at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, you have an opportunity to view it with other local professionals here at Sourcewell. Registration is required and limited. R5 Summit

For Region 5 Leaders – The goal of this mini, one-day conference is to serve Region 5 communities by providing professional development and educational opportunities.

Joe Schmit—KSTP-TV sports anchor, author, community leader, and this year's keynote speaker—will discuss, Silent Impact: Influence Through Purpose, Persistence and Passion focused on inspiring and teaching leaders how to ramp up the profound power of influence.

The day also includes a variety of breakout sessions on topics in education and community leadership, including updates from the State Capitol, 5-minute Speed Sessions, and a networking lunch. Registeration is now closed.

Cyber Incident ResponseSimulation Training

For all organizations – Join this interactive training on how to navigate the challenges associated with a security incident that results in a major data breach. You will decide what steps to take after a breach, consult with a panel of industry experts, and ultimately decide the fate of your organization.

The training, led by security and incident response experts from Sikich (a nongovernment website), combines different methods of attack such as phishing, PowerShell, and ransomware. Participants will be provided with objectives to guide decisions from real companies who have faced these situations. Registeration is now closed.

MDE Training: Using Test & Assessment Data to Support Teaching & Learning

For K-12 Educators – This Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) fall training and focus group will include: an update on the redesign of the Benchmark Reports and new reports on the Minnesota Report Card, discussion on the potential of the formative uses of assessments, and review and discussion of the new teacher website: Testing 1, 2, 3 (DAC’s).
