Sourcewell Partners With 63d Readiness Division to Support Army Reserve Facilities
New agreement gives military leadership another option to access essential supplies and services

Sourcewell and the Army Reserve’s 63d Readiness Division (RD) are embarking on a first-of-its-kind agreement that will streamline how the RD accesses essential supplies and services.
The Intergovernmental Support Agreement (IGSA) between the 63d and Sourcewell improves purchasing efficiency for its 100+ locations across California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, ensuring troops have the resources they need faster and more effectively. Leaders from Sourcewell and the 63rd marked the milestone with a ceremonial signing at the division’s headquarters in Mountain View, California, on Feb. 5.
Officially signed in December 2024, this is Sourcewell’s fourth IGSA with the military, following similar agreements with the Army Installation Management Command and Department of the Navy. These agreements empower those responsible for procurement decisions access to Sourcewell’s cooperative contracts and procurement expertise and extensive portfolio of competitively awarded contracts, strategically sourcing essential goods and services more efficiently and cost-effectively than traditional procurement methods.
“The 63d is extremely proud to be leading the way with this partnership,” said Maj. Gen. Tracy L. Smith, commanding general of the 63d Readiness Division. “The intended end state is to allow the 63dReadiness Division to find the most effective, efficient, and potentially cost-saving services and products to address and support division-wide needs, ultimately enabling combat readiness for our over 48,000 soldiers and civilians.”
Through its IGSA, the 63d can choose to work with Sourcewell to access facility maintenance, small-scale construction, municipal supplies and services, and specialized equipment. By leveraging economies of scale, the agreement helps reduce costs, increase purchasing efficiency, and accelerate mission-readiness timelines.

Sourcewell is honored to partner with the U.S. military, strengthening readiness through IGSAs. Since July 2024, Sourcewell’s Installation Support team has completed nearly 300 task orders, ranging from construction projects to specialized equipment acquisitions. Currently, there are 22 military installations across the country actively using the IGSA with dozens more working their way through the onboarding process.
