Sourcewell Places First and Sixth in Top 150 Workplaces in Minnesota

Star Tribune ranks over 2,000 organizations on engagement, staff satisfaction

Sourcewell is being named a Top Workplace in Minnesota by the Star Tribune, taking first place in the training category and sixth overall in the midsize business category.

The award recognizes the most progressive Minnesota companies or organizations with a staff of 50 or more people and is based on employee opinions measuring engagement, organizational health, and satisfaction. Over 2,000 companies were invited to participate, and the analysis included responses from more than 140,000 employees. The rankings in the Star Tribune Top 150 Workplaces are based on survey information collected by Energage, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention.

“This is quite an honor and recognition for our entire team,” said Sourcewell Executive Director and CEO Dr Chad Coauette. “We have been intentional in creating and growing a culture that supports our organizational mission. We hope this, in turn, will continue to help us attract and retain great service-driven team members. This award validates the progress we are making, and we commit to getting better every day.”

This is the fourth year Sourcewell has been honored as a Top Workplace in Minnesota and the second as a Top 150 Workplace. In the last 12 months, Sourcewell has added 45 employees – currently bringing its staff up to 181.

Jake Denning joined Sourcewell 10 months ago, looking for a positive change to improve the life of his family. Denning now serves as the Membership Communications Specialist at Sourcewell.

“I have always had a passion for helping others, and Sourcewell exists to serve those who serve others,” Denning said. “The culture here is truly incredible. From the moment I walked through the door for my first interview, I could sense that the Sourcewell team truly cares for one another.”

Denning said he continually receives the care and support he needs to give 100 percent to his position.

“Management provides the tools necessary for my colleagues and I to become successful leaders and maximize our potential. Work doesn't feel like work at Sourcewell and I am so happy to come to work every day.”
