Growing YOU in the New Year

Welcome to the second half of the school year! As snow flurries finally fly outside your classroom window, we’re bringing you a flurry of opportunities to grow YOU in 2024.

From recognizing students to recommended podcasts, the options are piling up!

1. Level up with personalized PD
Personalize your professional development with an ElevatePD project. You know your classroom best. This year, work with ElevatePD specialists to plan meaningful projects that solve challenges and impact your students while you earn credits for advancement.

2. Tune in and work out
Organize an Ed Soul walk and listen with a coworker. Build healthy habits while nourishing your mind with the latest Ed Soul episode, Unlocking the Challenge of Disruptive Behavior with Dr. Natan Elliot.

3. Forge connections 
Connect with new teacher friends at a network meeting. Join one of our 34 networks and build cross-district relationships to grow in your teaching practice — we promise you’ve already got a lot in common!

4. Recognize others
Connect with your school administrator to nominate a deserving junior or senior for their quiet leadership. Nominations are being accepted through January 12th for the 2024 Students of Character banquet. (Don’t know a student? You can still help recognize students by considering a donating toward scholarships to help regional students achieve their educational dreams.)

5. Keep it real
Bring real-world experience back into your classroom with a teacher externship. Build the bridge from classroom to career with a week-long, paid externship with a local business.
